When I’m retired, exoskeletons will probably be fully functional and affordable. Therefore I’ll be able to keep doing the things I love, like hiking and skiing, even if my body can’t. Win!

So basically your superhero origin story would be due to your retirement. Not a bad way to go about it considering what other superheroes have to go through to get their power.

I don’t know about affordable... But if you don’t want to pay through the teeth for a new one, maybe browse for used units on Craigslist. Rebuild it with new servos and battery packs, and it should be good to go!

Just request a body by Zagoto. People will stop to stare mid conversation.

Fully functional yes. Cheap though? Hopefully.
Can you imagine crotchety old guys with dementia who have the strength to punch through a wall? Would certainly make care homes more interesting places to work...

YES...haha. That would make a far more interesting workplace. I didn’t say cheap...affordable. I’m thinking by that point it may be similar to purchasing a car now.

I don’t know, I like my retirement plan far more now.
